Expanish has partnered with three local NGO'S (Non-Governmental Organization) in Buenos Aires in order to offer Spanish language study abroad students volunteer program opportunities.
Students will be able to volunteer in the following areas:
- Youth Outreach
- Teaching English
- Community Development
Volunteer placements focus on the underprivileged residents of Buenos Aires and work to improve their quality of life and the local community, from serving daily meals at a soup kitchen to spending time with and teaching English to children, every volunteer program gives Spanish language students the opportunity to work for a cause they are passionate about in Argentina.
Program Details
- Location Volunteer placements all take place throughout the city centre, a convenient, safe, and easily accessible location.
- Hours/Days Students must volunteer one day per week, for a minimum of three hours.
- Volunteer Fee All study abroad students will have a fee of US$140 to partake in a volunteer placement in Buenos Aires.
General Requirements
The following are the minimum requirements for study abroad students who wish to volunteer in Buenos Aires with Expanish, during or after their Spanish language study abroad program:
- Eligibility: All students enrolled in at least 8 weeks of a Spanish Language study abroad program in Buenos Aires are eligible to apply for a volunteer program.
- Spanish Level: Beginner-Advanced
- Age*: Minimum of 18 to 21 years.
- Time Commitment*: Minimum of one month.
- Application: Volunteers must write a brief essay stating reasons for wanting to volunteer in Argentina (max 400 words, in Spanish).
