Accommodation is very important in any study abroad experience.

Expanish recognizes housing as one of the most important elements in any Spanish language study abroad experience and one of the best ways to practice Spanish outside of the classroom.

Expanish maintains a well-established network of comfortable apartments and suitable family homes in Buenos Aires' best neighborhoods. We strive to meet the needs of each of our students in providing them housing that ensures safety and comfort and serves to enrich the student experience in Buenos Aires.

All Spanish Language study abroad students have the opportunity to live with either a local host family or young Argentines and international roommates during their time abroad in Buenos Aires. Host families and local roommates offer students the chance to learn more about Buenos Aires, local cultural and traditions, as well as to practice Spanish on a regular basis.

What Expanish Looks for in Each Student Accommodation:

Study abroad student accommodations in Buenos Aires include a private room for each individual student and at least one native Spanish-speaker living in each homestay or shared apartment.

All student accommodation in Buenos Aires is screened for cleanliness, range of amenities, distance from a students' program university, and any special student requests, such as those stemming from dietary needs, allergies, pets, smoking, etc.

The Argentine host families speak only Spanish with their students, provide detailed insight into porteñ (resident of Buenos Aires) culture, and greatly enhance the student's cultural immersion experience. All homestay families, including their living conditions, are screened to ensure students a safe and comfortable environment..

Shared Apartment

The shared apartment option suits independent Spanish language study abroad students, looking to live with other foreigners and young native Spanish speakers in Buenos Aires.

Local residents in a shared apartment are well acquainted with the city and its porteño culture and provide an excellent resource for facilitating the student's immersion in Buenos Aires. When living in a shared apartment, students enjoy more freedom as well as additional responsibility. Students must cook their own meals and clean up after themselves.

Shared Apartment

The shared apartment gives Spanish language study abroad students more independence during their time in Buenos Aires and the opportunity to practice the Spanish language outside of the classroom with their fellow roommates or with other native locals.
