Group Flight Information

Travel Itinerary Information

Students who choose to travel on the group flight will be flying from San Diego to Buenos Aires, return trip included.

Tickets:

In order to participate in the group flight, students must indicate this on the registration form and no later than April 27th, the program registration deadline. An electronic ticket confirmation will be delivered to your email by mid-July at the latest.

Changes

Date changes are allowed after ticketing to the outbound and inbound flights. The first date change will result in a $50 fee plus any difference in fare and is on a space available basis. The second date change will result in a $300 fee plus any difference in fare and is on a space available basis. Any request for a change must be made through Expanish by calling toll free at +1 888 397 2647 (USA) in Buenos Aires (-2 GMT, 10 AM - 7 PM) or e-mailing university@expanish.com. If any change is made to the return date, the ticket can be extended up to, but no later than, April 27, 2011.

Schedule Changes:

Neither Expanish nor STA Travel is liable for any travel delay or disruption caused by schedule changes or flight cancellations processed by the airline.

Not allowed.

Airfare Cancellations and Fees

Individual cancellations up to May 1: $125 (plus any processing fee)

Individual cancellations after May 1: $350 (plus any processing fee)

* Please note that the cancellation date is considered to be the date that Expanish university admissions receives written notice from the student. You must e-mail/fax all cancellations requests to Expanish by writing to university@expanish.com or by faxing +1 415 236 6044, and then confirm with a telephone call to our toll free number at +1 888 397 2647 (USA) in Buenos Aires (-2 GMT, 10 AM - 7 PM).

International Student/Teacher Identification Card

All passengers are required to have an International Student/Teacher ID card (ITIC) to travel on this fare. SDCC International Education Coordinator, Marion Froehlich will issue these cards to students with the receipt of a passport size photo as attached to their final, signed registration form.

All cards contain an insurance which includes coverage for Emergency Medical Transportation, Repatriation of Remains, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Accident and Sickness coverage, Passport Replacement coverage and Baggage Delay insurance.

Travel Documents

U.S citizens are required to possess a passport that is valid for 6 months or more from arrival date in Argentina. Holders of passports of countries other than the United States should inquire about individual visa requirements from the consular offices of Argentina and other countries in which they plan on traveling. Expanish does not assume responsibility for obtaining passports or visas for students, nor responsibility if participants do not acquire the required documentation and must cancel participation in the program as a result. Cancellations conditions and fees will still apply.

*As of December 2009, the Argentine government has implemented a reciprocity fee that will be charged to those nationals of Australia, Canada, and the United States. U.S citizens must pay $131 USD before entering through customs in the Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires. This fee can be paid in United States dollars, Argentine pesos, by credit card, or traveler's cheques.

Taxes and Fuel Surcharge

Taxes and fuel surcharges have been included in the program price. Expanish is not responsible for any additional taxes or fuel surcharge levied at the time of ticket purchase.
