Steve Bouscaren began teaching Anthropology and Archaeology at San Diego City College in 1989. He earned a B.S. in Anthropology, M.S. in Archaeology and Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology (with a minor in Botany and Plant Science) at the University of California, Riverside. He has lived and worked in several countries including Argentina, Uruguay, Ecuador, Mexico, Nepal, France, and Viet Nam. At City College, he has organized and led four semester-long programs to Mexico and led one each to France and Argentina. Professor Bouscaren has a passion for Anthropology studies, Peace Studies, cross-cultural experiences and travel.
His current anthropological research emphasis is in cross-cultural conflict resolution and in Peace Studies. He looks forward to returning to Buenos Aires and living, learning and teaching in one of the most beautiful and environmentally diverse countries in the world, where one of the friendliest populations of people in the world reside.
