Excursions

Students will have the opportunity to participate in two distinct day excursions during the Buenos Aires program:

Day Trip to Tigre

Students will spend a day visiting the historical and picturesque riverside town of Tigre. Once a quiet farming region, today Tigre attracts visitors for its beautiful river views, peaceful style of living, and the bustling outdoor market, Mercado de Frutas, a destination in itself. The market features fresh fruits, jams and honey, flowers, handmade crafts, rustic fabrics, and handmade wooden furniture. Student activities include river walks, enjoying artisanal ice cream, dining at a traditional parrilla (grill house), and taking a boat tour of the river delta.

Estancia in Buenos Aires Province

Students will spend the day exploring the vast Argentine countryside on a visit to an Estancia (traditional ranch). They will feast on a traditional style meal, while learning about the iconic gaucho's (cowboy) former way of life. The excursion includes horseback riding and horse drawn carriage rides, a folkloric show, and an exhibition of traditional gaucho skills and challenges on horseback.
