In Case of an Emergency at Home

Our Expanish study abroad staff in our Buenos Aires office is available to parents and students during office hours on our toll free phone line (+1 888 EXPANISH) or via email (info@expanish.com). Expanish gives students an emergency contact, available for use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, when they arrive in Buenos Aires that should be passed on to their closest contact back home. Parents that need to contact their study abroad student may contact us at the information above and our Expanish staff will assist you in placing you in contact with your student.

Health Insurance

Expanish strongly recommends that all parents make sure their student in a study abroad program in Argentina has comprehensive international health and travel insurance for the entire duration of their program and time abroad. If students/parents are interested in purchasing insurance, Expanish offers study abroad students an insurance plan through CareMed International that includes medical, legal, and technical services 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Power of Attorney

Parents may choose to recommend to their study abroad student, who has his/her own financial accounts, to sign a Power of Attorney form giving his/her closest of kin the legal standing to administer his/her finances during their time abroad.

Any student studying abroad in Buenos Aires is provided with the contact information of a reliable and secure taxi company in the city so that they may call this company whenever they need a taxi. Taxis are an inexpensive and secure way to travel about Buenos Aires, recommended in late night hours and for emergencies.
