Study Abroad Student Rules and Regulations
Bellow is a list of rules and regulations all students must comply with in order to study abroad with Expanish
- Drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited in the school. Alcohol will only be permitted in the school in the case of a special event, as provided by the school or a workshop provider.
- Food is not allowed inside the classrooms. Snacks are only allowed in the Common Room area.
- Non-alcoholic beverages are permitted inside the classrooms and in the Common Room.
- The School's opening and closing times are 09.00 am to 07.00 pm, Monday through Friday. Students are not permitted in the school building before or after these hours without permission from the school director.
- Expanish expects students to demonstrate courtesy and respect toward their fellow students as well as toward Expanish faculty, staff, and all Expanish providers student grooming).
- Students are expected to respect the property of others, including the School's property and facilities.
- Violence will not be permitted under any circumstances on any school property, or at any school activity. Any student who assaults a teacher, student, or member of staff will consequently have his/her program cancelled.
- No student should engage in verbal abuse based on race, place of origin, color, ethnicity , nationality, sex, sexual orientation, creed, age, marital status, or disability.
At Accommodation
- Respect for host family and/or housemates is expected at all times.
- We require that students ask for their host family's permission before inviting others to the home.
- Overnight guests are not permitted.
- If the student's program includes meals, the student must always advise the host family if and when they do not plan to attend a meal.
- It is advisable to ask for approval before using something from the host's property or before eating from their provisions outside of meal time.
- We highly recommend, at the beginning of the stay, that the student discuss with the family / housemates any house rules that do or might exist in order to prevent misunderstandings and awkward situations later.
- No illegal activities are permitted on the accommodation premises, building, yard, etc. This includes illegal drug use (including prescription drugs not prescribed to you), underage alcohol use, alcohol abuse resulting in property/personal damage or necessary medical attention etc., prostitution, and all other illegal activities under local and national laws. In the case of any such event, students will be asked to leave their accommodation without refund, and if and when appropriate, turned over to authorities.
