When I came to Buenos Aires it was like a world of opportunities had opened up to me. Volunteering in a soup kitchen, taking classes at a university, exploring the city, traveling to amazing destinations in Argentina, receiving cooking lessons, meeting people from around the world and, of course, from the city itself; the list could go on forever. And all the while I was improving my Spanish!”

Our Expanish newsletter brings each person in our network Spanish news, Spanish slang words, news about South America from a Buenos Aires-based newspaper, and updates about our study abroad and Spanish programs in Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, and Peru. The meaning of "globo" is two fold in Spanish, meaning both "globe" and "balloon". We chose the name Globos for our Expanish newsletter to pay tribute to each member of our cultural network around the world interested in staying in touch with news from the Spanish-speaking world. Globos conveys our hope here at Expanish that every person will one day find his or her way back to enjoy our beautiful home with us in Latin America.
