“I feel so lucky to have found Expanish. From the moment I arrived in Buenos Aires, I felt so taken care of, so safe, and especially inspired to really get to know the city and people. The staff always made themselves accessible and helpful and were just such a pleasure to chat with. My classes were fantastic, and mixed with my immersion into Argentine life, I really feel not only my comprehension and speaking of the language has improved, but my understanding and connection with this special country and its people has developed into something really profound and unforgettable.”

“My experience with Expanish was better than I ever could have hoped – the staff, the activities, the people I met – I feel so lucky. I came here knowing almost nothing about Argentina or Buenos Aires, and I have never fallen so hard for a place in my life. Expanish played such an important part in my experience from the tours to the excursions to the improvement in my ability to actually sort of hold a conversation in Spanish…I would recommend this program to amigos and I will. Stay longer than a month – you’re going to have a hard time leaving.”

“I was amazed at the organization of Expanish in arranging every part of my study abroad experience. The staff is wonderful and helpful and the program in general is fun and engaging. Thank You All!!!”

“Expanish is more than a language school or study abroad program, it’s a family; a group of people who travel together, eat dinner together, and really enjoy being around one another. Once I felt more comfortable in Buenos Aires I started branching out and meeting different people, but having Expanish there served both as a great way to meet people (some of me best friends in Argentina I met through Expanish) and as a safety net to fall back on if anything was needed.”

“I have done many study abroad programs with other organizations before I found Expanish. With nearly all of them, I felt that I had no control over my experience or my activities and the directors of the program seemed to hide behind the scenes unless something drastic were to happen. Expanish functions like a student’s primary appendage. They provide you with information that is more than helpful and they are always there to answer questions or help any students in need. The welcome packet alone has nearly everything a student needs to aptly navigate the city. Expanish is the only program that I have decided to use twice.”

Mucho amor, Jessi ”

“Going abroad to a place where a different language is spoken is a very scary experience, especially not knowing anybody beforehand. Expanish gave us a great support system to help us get our feet off the ground. Taking classes here in Buenos Aires to learn about its history and culture only enhanced the experience. Also, having an internship in a field of my interest was a bonus and really helped to augment my vocabulary. As intermediary to all this and more including some of the most gorgeous locales in South America, I’m forever grateful to Expanish for piecing together the best experience of my life.”

“This experience was wonderful because it gave me a chance to be independent and live my own life – at the same time I knew I would be taken care of if I needed anything because Expanish cared about my experience as well.”

“When I came to Buenos Aires it was like a world of opportunities had opened up to me. Volunteering in a soup kitchen, taking classes at a university, exploring the city, traveling to amazing destinations in Argentina, receiving cooking lessons, meeting people from around the world and, of course, from the city itself; the list could go on forever. And all the while I was improving my Spanish!”

“I had the best time studying in Buenos Aires. It’s incredible how much my Spanish has improved in the 8 weeks that I’ve lived here. Besides all the new friends that I made, my absolute favorite part was the trip to Iguazú. I’m really going to miss eating empanandas and alfajores 24/7!”

“I will probably never live in another city like Buenos Aires. It was a life changing experience where I felt challenged every week. Easy activities such as laundry became difficult and scary, but most of the time I just laughed because it was all so funny. By far one of my favorite parts of this summer was meeting the other summer students and having this experience with them was amazing. Also, it was amazing having one of my best friends here to share this experience. This summer was definitely full of some exciting adventures!”

“Since the first day at orientation I knew Expanish was the right choice. I had the best living situation I could have asked for with great house-mates and a great location. I took a couple of cooking classes which were so much fun and I loved the food! The Expanish dinners were my favorite, because you got to meet anyone that was new in the program, and the restaurants were always great. The trips to Colonia, Mendoza, and Iguazú were well organized and full of activities. I am so glad I had the opportunity to see so many parts of Argentina ad with such a great group of people.”

“I loved my experience with Expanish! When I got sick, everyone was very helpful in making sure I was okay, knew how to find a doctor, etc. The University of Belgrano was a great place to study Spanish, and I enjoyed my classes a lot. The city of Buenos Aires is an ideal location for studying Spanish. I hope to return soon to complete an internship!”

“Expanish is a great program, from the warm staff, exciting weekly activities to amazing excursions to Iguazú Falls and vineyards in Mendoza. They really make an effort to get to know you and make sure your stay in Buenos Aires in perfect! I studied at the University of Belgrano for a semester and had an amazing time learning about Argentine history, economy, culture and tango! The city of Buenos Aires itself has so much character, you’ll always have something to see or visit, a new restaurant to try, and the nightlife is like none other. Not only have I met many porteños but other students from all over the globe. This program is great if you are looking to learn Spanish, meet new people and learn about a unique culture. I recommend Expanish to everyone who is looking for an unforgettable”

“Expanish was a home away from home with their incredible staff that spoiled anyone that walked through the door. The staff made me feel as if I had known them for years. They make sure you are enjoying every minute of your stay in Buenos Aires. The excursions that are provided are absolutely amazing because of the constant activities that are planned and the nights out with the other students. I didn’t take advantage of the workshops, although I wish I would have, but I did love the weekly soccer games. Overall, I highly recommend Expanish to any traveler of student making his/her way through or to Argentina, you will not be let down.”
