Expanish offers study
abroad programs at three of Buenos Aires’ most prestigious universities:
Universidad de Belgrano (semester, year, and all Spanish language
programs available)
The Universidad de
Belgrano is a private university founded in 1964 with an enduring tradition of
high academic standards. Classes are taught by native professors in a wide
variety of subjects from art history to business, and many professors are trained
in instructing students who speak Spanish as a second language. One of the most
well known private schools in Argentina, the UB offers its sizeable student body access to
its library, bookstore, study areas, restaurants, computer labs, athletic
events, and cultural activities. Located in the illustrious and safe
neighborhood of Belgrano, students are within walking distance of some of the
city’s best dining and cultural activities and only a subway ride away from the
shopping of Palermo and the downtown Microcentro district.
Universidad Torcuato di Tella (semester
and year programs available)
The Universidad Torcuato
di Tella is one of the top private universities in Argentina, and with a very unique history. Beginning as a
non-profit foundation supporting the vanguard arts and science movement and
sponsored by the engineer Torcuato di Tella, the university was created by the
foundation near the end of the 20th century, meant to be one of the top
universities on the continent focusing on social and business sciences.
Boasting some of the top professors in Latin America and a constant flow of prestigious visiting
professors, Di Tella offers some of the best MBA programs on the continent and
a very high level of academic quality. Admittance is competitive and classes
are small, making this university the ideal environment for highly motivated
students.
Universidad Austral(Summer LAS program available)
The Universidad Austral is well known throughout Latin America as one of the principal institutions for higher education. A small, private university, courses are individualized and academically demanding; classes are small to put an emphasis on participation. The Austral strives to incorporate new technological mediums into its teaching methods, and curricular hours outside the classroom stress practical learning, so students learn through seeing, doing, and critical analysis of the two. The UA uses these methods to encourage students to initiate societal changes in a responsible and informed manner in modern-day Argentina. The Austral offers students a library, computer labs and internet access, a cafeteria and snack bar, and offers an ideal option for students wishing to learn via interaction both in the classroom and with the surrounding city.
